Who We Are

We are a passionate team of educators and researchers, driven by the shared mission to empower African American children with the life-changing power of forgiveness. With the invaluable collaboration of Fred Ludskin from Stanford University and Loren Toussaint from Luther College, we have developed a cutting-edge, scientifically-based curriculum centered around forgiveness.

Our goal is to provide children with the tools they need to let go of anger and resentment, and instead cultivate a spirit of empathy, compassion, and understanding. By embracing forgiveness as a way of life, children can experience profound personal growth and build stronger, more meaningful relationships with others.

We believe that forgiveness is not just a one-time act, but a lifelong practice that requires patience, dedication, and commitment. With our curriculum, we hope to inspire and guide the next generation of African American leaders to embrace forgiveness as a powerful tool for personal and societal transformation.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to build forgiveness into the black youth and document their journey. We do it with simple forgiveness exercises, meditations, and a scientific curriculum around forgiveness. We do it to reduce the cycle of violence in the black community.

Vision Statement

Our Vision is to have every kid of color in the Minneapolis-St. Paul community to be practicing forgiveness in their daily interactions with their peers. We aim to have over 500 kids in forgiveness groups by the summer of 2024. We aim to have over 15,000 kids in forgiveness groups by 2026.

Values Statement

Practicing forgiveness is the key to a happier and more peaceful life. Putting that into our community, our kids, and ourselves is key to changing the world.
